Olympic Medalist Susanthika Jayasinghe, who has brought many international victories to Sri Lanka, has been appointed as a Consultant at the Ministry of Sports.
The appointment has been made by the Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage on the instructions of President Mahinda Rajapakse, Ministry of Sports said.
The appointed letter was handed over to Susanthika Jayasinghe by the President at the Temple Trees, recently.
The Ministry of Sports said that it was expected to get Susanthika Jayasinghe’s service to uplift the sports from school level to national level.
