Former Sri Lankan fast bowler Suranga Lakmal claimed his maiden 5-wicket haul in County Cricket.
Lakmal, who was signed by Derbyshire county two months ago following his retirement from the Sri Lanka National team, picked up his first 5-wicket haul for his county side today (30th April).
The 34-year old right-arm quick took 5 for 82 against Glamorgan, including the prized wicket of the world’s number 1 batter Marnus Labuschagne.
Lakmal has played 4 matches for Derbyshire so far and managed to take 11 wickets. His county side Derbyshire is currently ranked 2nd place in the points table of County Championship Division Two, with 57 points in 4 games.
