Sri Lanka national selectors have recalled lanky off-spinner Suraj Randiv into the 15-man ODI squad to face Pakistan in the upcoming 3-match series after a lapse of 3 years.
Leg-spinning all-rounder Seekuge Prasanna has also been included in the squad after sterling performances in England with the Sri Lanka ‘A’ team while there were no spots for opener, Kusal Janith Perera and spinner Ajantha Mendis. Suraj Randiv’s inclusion was prompted after Sachithra Senanayake was suspended from international Cricket due to his illegal bowling action.
Big-hitting seam bowling all-rounder Thisara Perera was also included in the squad after recovering from a mental illness and bad form which kept him out of the team since the first ODI against England in May. Upul Tharanga will be partnering TM Dilshan at the top of the order after recent good form shown by the left hander in Tests.
