St. Peter’s College outplayed DS Senanayake College to secure 1st innings victory in their inter school cricket match at Kadirana grounds.
St. Peter’s College who scored a total of 205 runs yesterday and the home side on the ropes on 93/9. However Dushan Hemantha continuing from where he left off the previous evening, bagged his 7the wicket wrapping up the DS Senanayake innings for just 125 runs in 51.5 overs. For the visitors Sifran Muthalif notched up a stylish 50 runs which included seven fours.
Pete’s in their second essay scored 228 runs in 51.1 overs Lahiru Milantha propelled two sixes and six fours notching a half century of 52 runs. Oshan Karunarathne, Kavinda De Thisserra, Julian De Silva and Chemila Obesekara added 42, 26, 36, and 20 runs respectively. Supun Madusanka and Harith Maduwantha did some damage with 2 and 3 wickets each
