St Peter’s clinched the Under 15 Division One title with a comfortable four wicket win over Mahanama Colombo in the final played at the Colts ground yesterday.
The low scoring game saw Mahanama taking first lease of the wicket being restricted by Chathura Obeysekera, Ravindu Silva and Ayantha de Silva who together shared eight wickets between them to a score of 86 which took them 42.1 overs.
St Peter’s in their run chase were guided by Ashan Wanasekera and Riyan Perera as the pair made identical knocks of 24 to help the side reach the target in the 30th over. St Peter’s won the title for the third time in five years.
