The 20th Annual Rugby encounter between Richmond College and St. Aloysius College was held on 23rd of November 2012 at Koggala ground, Galle.
This game is the only Rugby big match played in Galle which attracted a huge gathering to witness the event.
The 20th Annual Rugby encounter was hosted by Richmond College, Galle and it dished out some spectacular rugby.
It was a tight encounter and K. R. S Perera of St. Aloysius was the main contributor for the winners scoring 10 points which included a goal and a penalty. Richmond College only managed to score a solitary penalty off the boot of Niroshan Samarasinghe and the former managed to win the game at the end of the final whistle.
Both teams played a very tough game which was cheered on by a spree of supporters who were present at the game.
St. Aloysius College went on to win the 20th Annual Rugby encounter. The Award ceremony then took place after the conclusion of the match and the Best Player of the match Award was presented to K.R.S.Perera of St. Aloysius College, Galle.
