St. Alosyius’ College, Galle recorded a thrilling 8 wicket win, which was also their 4th outright victory of the season, over Bandaranayaka MMV, Gampaha in the final session of their match, which began at Katuneriya yesterday. After securing a 102 run first innings lead, St. Aloysius’ asked Bandaranayaka MMV to follow on before restricting them to 155 in their 2nd innings eventually setting up a victory target of 54 runs which they achieved in 12.2 overs.

Josephian bowlers led by fast bowler Ruchira Ekanayake(4/42) managed to restrict Maris Stella to 150 runs in their 1stinnings after Maris Stella won the toss and decided to have a bat first at Darley Road today(10). Left arm spinners Havin Perera and skipper Harin Cooray also shared 6 wickets between them while only Dushan Guruge provided some resistence with the bat for Maris Stella making 32.
In reply, Josephian openers Revan Kelly (76) and Thashan Perera(56) put on a century stand before they were dismissed shortly before close of play while the Josephians were on 151/2 with Nipun Sumanasinghe and the centurion from the previous game Dineth Madurawela unbeaten at close of play.
