The Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee has named Sri Lanka’s final 17-member squad that will take part in upcoming Asia Cup 2022.
Sri Lanka’s ace fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera, who was named in the 20-member squad, will not take part in the Asia Cup, as he has sustained an injury (on his left leg) during practices.

Speedster Nuwan Thushara has been named as Chameera’s replacement. Though the selectors had named a 20-member squad initially, 3 players of them will remain in Sri Lanka as standbys and will not travel with the team.
