Sri Lankan snooker champion qualifies for the World Games 2022

Sri Lanka National snooker champion Mohommed Thaha Irshath, has earned qualification for the World Snooker Games 2022. The tournament is scheduled to be held in USA from the 7th – 17 July 2022.

Irshath’s performance at the recently held IBSF World Snooker Championship in Qatar has earned him the Qualification for the World Games.

Sri Lanka’s reigning junior and senior national snooker and billiard champion, Irshath kept the country’s flag flying at the ongoing World U21 Snooker Championship which was in progress in Doha, Qatar when he recorded back to back wins and assured himself of a pre-quarter final berth.

The World U21 Snooker Championship is conducted by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) where 18 top cueists are participating, divided into five groups. The participants from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Iran, India, Pakistan, Russia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Syria, Germany and host Qatar hence battle for supremacy.
