Sri Lanka registered their second consecutive win in the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2024 as they beat Namibia by 77 runs today (24th January) at Kimberley.
Namibia Skipper Alexander Busing-Volschenk won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to take the first lease of the wicket.

Sri Lanka once again faltered with the bat to be bowled out for just 133 runs. No. 3 batter Supun Waduge was the only standout batter for the islanders as he made an unbeaten 56 runs off 79 balls with 6 fours.
Zacheo van Vuuren and Johannes de Villiers were brilliant with the ball for Namibia, sharing 7 wickets between them.
The bowlers once again came to save Sri Lanka as they produced another brilliant show to restrict Namibia for just 56 runs. Ruvishan Perera and Vishwa Lahiru impressed with the ball for Sri Lanka claiming 3 wickets each.

Sri Lanka will play their third game at the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup against Australia on the 28th of January at Bloemfontein.
