Sri Lanka Men’s U19 squad has been announced for their tour of UAE 2023. The islanders will take part in a Tri-series (Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan) and a bilateral series against Afghanistan.
Shevon Daniel of St. Joseph’s College will lead the 15-member Sri Lankan contingent. Apart from Daniel, Traveen Mathew and Malsha Tharupathi who participated in the ICC U19 World Cup last year, have retained their places in the squad.
The Sri Lankan squad will depart for Abu Dhabi on the 15th March. Sri Lanka, alongside Bangladesh and Afghanistan will participate in this 50-Over tri-nation series. They will play their first game of the tournament against Bangladesh on 20th March.
Apart from its involvement in the One Day Limited Over tri-nation competition, the team will also play two One Day Limited Over games against Afghanistan on a bilateral scale.
