India Women likely to tour Sri Lanka in November
Apart from the Test Series vs Sri Lanka, CSA also announced fixtures vs England, Australia and Pakistan as well.
CSA Acting CEO, Kugandrie Govender said, “The COVID-19 pandemic predictably forced many changes to the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP) and the traditional sequencing of scheduling matches in South Africa this season. This is why I am particularly proud of today’s announcement. It comes as a result of many hours of dedication, negotiation and hard work by individuals behind the scenes to ensure that our fans have an exciting line-up of cricket to look forward to throughout the summer and, although the matches will be played behind closed doors, we will have enough entertainment to make them feel as though they are a part of match-day activities.
Sri Lanka to tour South Africa in December
Last time Sri Lanka toured the rainbow nation, they managed to win a historical series 2-0 including a miraculous victory in the Test held in Durban. Sri Lanka also maintains a 4-0-win record in their last 4 Tests vs the Proteas.
This tournament will be the first International assignment for Sri Lanka after the halt in schedule due COVID-19 pandemic. Sri Lanka last played international cricket in March of this year against West Indies at home.
