Sri Lanka registered a massive win over Bangladesh in the second Test at Chattogram and clinched the two-match series, 2-0.
Bangladesh resumed their second innings on fifth and final day at 268/7 with a mammoth task of chasing down a target of 511 with only 3 wickets in hand.
It was just a matter of time for Sri Lanka to seal the game and the series but Bangladesh didn’t give up as they fought hard showing great resistance.
Mehidy Hasan led the batting efforts and kept Sri Lanka at bay for more than an hour with the tail for company but eventually lost by 192 runs.
Hasan top scored for the hosts with a fighting knock of unbeaten 81 runs while speedster Lahiru Kumara was Sri Lanka’s pick of the bowlers with figures of 4 for 50 runs.
Kamindu Mendis who had a dream start to his Test career won both player of the match and player of the series awards.
