Sri Lankan Selectors have named a 17-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh.
Dhananjaya de Silva, who was named Test Skipper in February, continues at the helm with Kusal Mendis as his deputy. Wanindu Hasaranga, who announced his retirement from Test Cricket last year, has returned to the side.

Uncapped off-spinner Nishan Peiris has been called up to the Sri Lanka Test squad following his outstanding performance in the domestic circuit where he picked up 24 wickets in 4 games in the ongoing National Super League 4-Day Tournament 2023/24.
The speedster Lahiru Kumara also makes a comeback to Sri Lanka Test squad, replacing the injured speedster Asitha Fernando. Kumara’s inclusion will bolster the Sri Lanka pace attack which comprises Vishwa Fernando, Kasun Rajitha and Chamika Gunasekera.
