The official selection trials for the South Asian Games 2019, will commence at the Sugathadasa Stadium pool today (16) in a bid to find the best and the fastest to represent the country in Nepal this December.

While most of the sporting disciplines in the country have locked in their top contenders for the Games this year, the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union will conduct four days of trials to finalize Sri Lanka’s swim team for SAG 2019.
All top national prospects, with a few exceptions, will partake in the 4-day trial to mark their places in the 605-member Sri Lanka squad. Sri Lanka will enter participants for 17 events in the swimming category excluding the relays.
