The quarter-finals of the U17 All Island ‘A’ Division Boys’ Tournament were played yesterday, at both St. Joseph`s College and St. Peter`s College, Colombo. Lyceum International School – Nugegoda, St. Joseph`s College, St. Anne`s College – Kurunegala and Ananda College qualified for the semi-final stage.
Hosts, St. Joseph`s College (SJC) took on Loyola College – Negombo, in the quarter-final match-up. The match was a walk in the park for the Joes, who are listed as the tournament favorites. SJC led the game from the maiden quarter till the final whistle. Final scores read, 71-30.

The second quarter-final was played between Lyceum International College – Panadura (LISP) and Ananda College – Colombo. Ananda College dominated proceedings in both halves and secured a 29-point win to place themselves in the semi-final bracket.

The third and 4th quarter-final match-ups were played at St. Peter`s College – Colombo. St. Anne`s College beat Royal College – Colombo, 60-50. Lyceum International School – Nugegoda beat Lyceum International School – Wattala, 60-67.
