With the U17 ‘A’ Division All Island Boys’ Basketball Tournament resuming the sport in the island-nation after the tragic Easter Sunday attacks, more basketball is set to unravel in the month of July.
The U15 Southern Zonal Basketball Tournament 2019 will begin on the 04th of July and go-on till the 07th of July. The matches will be played at two venues, Kaluthara Vidyalaya and Karandeniya Central College.
The participating teams have been drawn into two groups, A and B. The Group A matches will be played in Kaluthara Vidyalaya while the Group B matches will be played in Karandeniya Central College.

Group B will tip-off the tournament first, starting their matches on the 4th of July while the matches for Group A will begin on the 5th of July.
Karandeniya Central College, will step into the tournament as the defending champions. Alongside them would be St. Aloysius College – Galle who were placed runners up in the 2018 clash. Kaluthara Vidyalaya will be a dominant force from Group A, hoping to do two more spots better in 2019, after finishing in 3rd place in 2018.
