The Sri Lanka team will continue with their tour to Malaysia for the friendlies ahead of the Asia Division I Rugby Championship in May.
The Sri Lanka national fifteens side was cut down to a 39-member squad following the Colombo v Outstation origins clash which was played as a selection trial for the national side.

The national squad that paused practices for a brief period following the unrest prevailing in the country have resumed training according to the training staff and are working on their plan ahead of the championship.

The team that Roshan Weeraratne will provide leadership to will play two friendlies in Malaysia, who are playing in the Asia Rugby Championship (Division above the Division I that Sri Lanka currently plays in) as a prep for the upcoming tournament.
The team is set to be brought down to a 30-member outfit within the course of the week and that team will be the touring squad for Malaysia.
Later the team is expected to be further reduced to a 23 man squad with 3 players on standby.
The team is coached by New Zealand national Matt Lee while Fazil Marija & Viraj Prasanna will be the side’s assistant coaches.

The team is expected to take flight to Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday(30th). The two games will be played on the 1st and 4th of May.
