Sri Lanka Society of Rugby Football Referees successfully launched it’s website today at an event held at the Race Course International Stadium.
Secretary of the Referees Society, Dinka Peiris began proceedings thanking the people who brought this idea “it was a great idea by our very own referees, we got it approved and here it is today, a reality”
The reason behind the decision to launch its website was mainly to educate the general public about rules and regulations of the game. Speaking at the event, Chief Guest and Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Harin Fernando said “This is the way to absolutely move forward, that’s how we will learn”

Additionally he expressed his praise towards this step taken by the Referees Society stating “I think the Referees union has done a brilliant thing today. We also need to learn about it, and to do that, we need information given to us”
Finally he stressed about the necessity of the content and about how correct it should be “the content provided should be spot on on this website. You need to feed the correct information and it should be up to date”
The website is up for the general public and is available at the tip of your fingers at www.rugbyreferees.lk
