It will be good match tomorrow. Our objective to prepare the team well and get a good result. Boys are working hard.”
Head Coach of Sri Lanka Nizam Packeer Ali addressing next;
“We had our first training session this morning as the field was not available before. I am thankful to the Football Federation of Sri Lanka for arranging the friendlies and Laos Federation for inviting us and giving us the matches.
It will be an interesting match. And hoping for a good game. As coaches we will look to prevent injuries to players as the next step is more important to both teams.
We have learned to adapt to situations and experiences. We have to work with the weather conditions. Our players are having some difficulty with the food here, but we will adapt.”

Asked about the expectations on the Macau game;
“I have watched their games on how they play defensively. Our players are prepared and ready. Hopefully we will do well and qualify for the second round.”
Captain Sujan Perera spoke on the team’s preparation;
“We have been preparing for one month now. The team has youth and senior mix. We will gain more experience with these two matches. We played Laos in 2016 and few players are here from that match. I see Laos and Macau are similar, so we will gain from this match.”
