The Sri Lanka U19 Cricket team was beaten comprehensively..
India U19s coached by Rahul Dravid was stunned by minnows Nepal U19s two days ago and today, suffered their second loss, an 8-wicket defeat at the hands of Bangladesh U19s in a rain-shortened game.
Sri Lanka U19s on the other hand won two games against UAE U19s and Afghanistan U19s but maintained a poor net run-rate following their loss against Pakistan U19s. They were expecting for a UAE win or a wash-out today when Afghanistan was taking on UAE. After rain threatened to wash-out the game in the morning, the weather cleared for a 20-over clash which the Afghans won convincingly by 134 runs.
The only unbeaten team in the competition, Bangladesh U19 will now take on Pakistan in the first semi-final on 16th November while Afghanistan who topped group B due to higher net run-rate will take on the giant killers, Nepal U19s in the second semi-final on 17th November.
