Sri Lankan Girls were humbled by Hong Kong losing 35-5 in the second group game in the Youth Olympic Asia Qualifier U17 Girls tournament played in Dubai.
After a winning start, the under 17 Girls were brought back to earth with a smashing defeat at the hands of arch rivals Hong Kong.
Hong Kong began with a dominant display showing what they are capable of in the first few exchanges of the game.
Beatrice Bourron started the try scoring for Hong Kong with less than 1 minute on the clock. Sri Lanka was held scoreless as the first half drew to a close
Tanya Dhar scored on the stroke of halftime as they went into the break with an 18 point lead, taking a commanding position in the game.

The second half was no different from the first as Hong Kong dominated proceedings from the onset of the game.
Two further tries from Tanya Dhar meant she secured her hat-trick, leaving Sri Lanka reeling with no score.
With time up on the clock, Sri Lanka secured their first score through captain Umayangana Thathsarani, bringing an end to Sri Lanka’s misery.
