Half centuries from Jehan Daniel, Priyamal Perera and Nishan Madushka helped Colts secure a vital 47 run lead in reply to NCC’s 251 all-out.

NCC spinners Sachintha Pieris and Lasith Embuldeniya shared eight wickets among them as the duo captured four wickets apiece.

The promising Hasitha Boyagoda remained unbeaten on 34* as NCC ended day two on 70 for 1 – an overall lead of 23 runs.

Pramod Maduwantha’s maiden double century lifted Saracens SC to a daunting 524 all-out in their encounter against Chilaw Marians.

Gamindu Kanishka also made a century for Saracens while Nipun Karunanayake chipped in with 80 runs.

Chilaw Marians reached 58/1 at stumps with Yashoda Lanka looking in good nick unbeaten on 34*.

CCC made a bold reply of 235/4 in reply to Army SC’s 295 all-out in their first innings.

Sri Lanka cap Ashan Priyanjan was the star performer with the bat for CCC as he made a stunning unbeaten 104* while Mahanama College schoolboy Sonal Dinusha chipped in with 40 runs.

Off-spinner Dushan Vimukthi starred once again for the soldiers with the ball as he captured three wickets, after Malinda Pushpakumara ended with six wickets for CCC earlier in the day.

A staggering century from the ever consistent Sachithra Serasinghe put Tamil Union in the box seat in their match against Sinhalese Sports Club.

He went on to remain unbeaten on  132* while Lahiru Milantha chipped in with a half-century as Tamil Union ended the day on 314/5.
