T Ten Global Sports are the organizers of the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 competition which is currently in its sixth season.

Speaking at the press conference, Chairman of TTen Global Sports Shaji Ul Malik said: “The biggest challenge we faced when launching the format was to be recognized internationally. ICC wanted three full-member nations to sanction the tournament and endorse their players for the tournament. We are truly in debt to SLC, because they were the very first full-member nation to sanction and endorse us. So, thank you, Sri Lanka Cricket. We have been steadily making progress as the fastest-growing format of the game. Last year at the Abu Dhabi T10, we had 400% growth with more than 500 million in viewership.”

In 2023, the competition will be played in June, followed by the franchise owned T20 league, Lanka Premier League in December. However, from 2024 onwards, Sri Lanka Cricket is expecting to play the Lanka Premier League in the pre-arranged August window and push the Lanka T10 to December with the hope of attracting the same players who take part in the Abu Dhabi T10 which is being played during the end of November and start of December.
