Newly-appointed Sri Lanka ODI skipper, Dinesh Chandimal will be in action in the first warm-up match against the visiting England outfit on Friday at P. Sara Oval grounds.
Chandimal, who is set to take over the reins in the limited over format from this series, is set to return to competitive cricket and gain much-needed match practice while leading a second-string side.

He did not play the entire South Africa series due to an ICC suspension and missed the Asia Cup due to a hand injury.
Chandimal will only play the first warm-up match while two more players, Sadeera Samarawickrama and Kasun Rajitha, who are in the 15-man ODI squad will play both the warm-up matches.
Test opening batsman Dimuth Karunarathne will captain the Board XI for the second match on Saturday at the same venue while ODI discard Kusal Mendis will look to regain form playing both matches.

Shehan Madushanka, Asitha Fernando and Isuru Udana will provide backup to Rajitha as seamers while Jeffrey Vandersay and Nishan Peiris form a spin combination.
The five-match ODI series will commence on 10th October in Dambulla.
