Sri Lanka Blind Cricket team began the 2nd T20 World Cup Cricket Tournament for the Blind with two enormous wins over New Zealand and West Indies.
The tournament played in India began on the 30th of January as Sri Lanka began their campaign on the 31st against New Zealand (Blindcaps). Sri Lanka went on to take on West Indies on the 2nd of February in their second encounter.
Sri Lanka went on to make a mammoth 334 in their first match. Ruwan Wasantha scored 179 off 69 balls which included 25 fours. Fellow opener Suranga Sampath made 146 which included 30 fours.
In reply Sri Lanka restricted the Blindcaps to just 120 in their allotted 20 overs. The Blindcaps innings included 5 run outs while Pathum Kumara and Dinesh Herath bagged a wicket a piece to help Sri Lanka to a huge 214 run win.

In the second game, Sri Lanka restricted West Indies, beating them by 130 runs.
Batting first the Lankan team managed 281 as opener Suranga Sampath managed yet another century. He was well supported by Chandana Deshapriya who made 108.
Chasing 282, West Indies was restricted for 151 for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Dinesh Herath bagged 2 wickets for Sri Lanka handing the Lankans a second win in the tournament.
