The 13th edition of the South Asian Games will be held from March 9 to 18 in Kathmandu, Nepal and the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVF) are starting selections for the Beach Volleyball teams.

The selection of players (men’s & women’s) for the Sri Lanka Beach Volleyball Team will be held on September 2. The SLVF is preparing to send two male and female beach volleyball teams for the forthcoming South Asian Games.
The selection for suitable sportsmen and sportswomen will be held on the 02nd of September 2018 from 8.30am onwards at the Beach Volleyball Court at the Sugathadasa Stadium. The male & female athletes who wish to participate in the selections are requested to report to the venue by 8.00am on the day.
Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Maldives and Pakistan participate in the South Asian Games. There has been no Beach Volleyball competition in the previous South Asian Games, but in the 2019 South Asian Games, beach volleyball will be introduced for the first time.
