The second unofficial Test of the two-match series between Sri Lanka ‘A’ and South Africa ‘A’ continued for Day 2 (16th September) at Benoni.
South Africa ‘A’ resumed their first innings on Day 2 at 316/7 with their opening batter Neil Brand remained unbeaten at the crease on 122.

The hosts managed to add only 18 runs to their overnight score as Sri Lanka picked up the last three wickets quickly to wrap up the innings.
The left-arm spinner Sonal Dinusha and speedster Eshan Malinga grabbed 3 wickets each for the visitors.

In reply, Sri Lanka ‘A’ posted 134 runs for 2 wickets at the close of play on Day 2. The opening batter Lahiru Udara struck unbeaten 61 runs while the skipper Pasindu Sooriyabandara hit unbeaten 43 runs for the visitors.
Udara and Sooriyabandara added unbeaten 77-run partnership for the third wicket.
