Isitha Wijesundara’s 7-wicket haul put Sri Lanka ‘A’ on the verge of a clinical win against South Africa ‘A’ on Day 3 of the first unofficial Test between the sides played today (10th September) at Kimberley.
After being on a strong position at 232/4, Sri Lanka ‘A’ witnessed a batting collapse to be bowled out for 323 for their first innings.

The hosts began their second innings 49 runs ahead but a terrific spell by the Sri Lankan seamer Isitha Wijesundara bundled out the South African batting unit for just 124.
Wijesundara claimed 7 wickets for 34 runs in his 9-over spell. Eshan Malinga also took 2 wickets for 28 runs.

At the close of play on Day 3, Sri Lanka ‘A’ were on 34 runs for 1 wicket in the pursuit of target of 174 runs.
