Garrett Kelly, Geremi Perera and William Thomason are the new faces named by Sri Lanka Football to be part of the 23-player Sri Lanka squad to face Thailand in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualification – 3rd Round.
Garrett Kelly (midfielder) plays for Welling United in the 6th tier of the English League and William Thomason (right-back) plays for Essendon Royals in the Australian League. 20-year-old Geremi Perera (midfielder) plays for ATSV Erlangen in the German League 5th tier and has had a good season with 12 goals and 3 assists in 24 league games.

Wade Dekker and Waseem Razeek, 8 goals and 3 assists in 15 games this season for Eastern District (Hong Kong), are back with the squad after missing out on the November international friendlies against Yemen. Manaram Perera, Rahul Suresh, Harsha Fernando, Senal Sandesh, Mohamed Aakib and Jude Supan are not included from the 23-player list.
Sujan Perera will once again captain the Lions in this important 3rd round of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers. Dillon de Silva misses out from the squad due to an injury which he sustained days before.
Sri Lanka U20 cap Mohamed Thilham, who impressed recently in the U20 Schools Football Championship leading Alighar National School to a final, keeps his place alongside Chalana Chameera, Aman Faizer, Kaveesh Fernando, Mohamed Hasmeer and Mohamed Mursith.
Sri Lanka will face Thailand on 25th March at the Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok at 9.00PM (Sri Lanka Time).
