SLC to conduct random drug tests on players

Following recent events, Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to impose drug tests on national players to make sure that similar incidents won’t happen again.

25-year-old Sri Lanka seamer was remanded after being arrested with the possession of illegal drugs by the Pannala Police.

Addressing the Press conference at Sports Medicine Institute, SLC president Shammi Silva said, “We decided to conduct these random drug tests on players to prevent that from happening”

The seamer in question was suspended from all forms of cricket by Sri Lanka Cricket following his arrest.
