SLC Team Red registered a convincing win over SLC Team Yellow in the fourth match of SLC T20 World Cup Preparation Tournament played today (8th May) at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
Dasun Shanka played a blinder of an innings to steer SLC Team Red to a commanding total on the board. Shanaka stroked unbeaten 63 runs off 38 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 165.78.
Kamindu Mendis (30) and Avishka Fernando (25) also chipped in with little cameos as SLC Team Red posted 192/8 in the allotted 20 overs. The speedster Lahiru Kumara picked up 3 wickets for 56 runs for SLC Team Yellow.
In reply, SLC Team Yellow posted only 152/9 as the left-arm seamer Binura Fernando and left-arm spinner Nimesh Vimukthi impressed with the ball for SLC Team Red scalping 3 wickets each.
