The semi final match between Tamil Union Cricket Club and Colts Cricket Club commenced today at CCC Ground. After been put into bat first, Tamil Union batsmen put on 253 runs for 7 wickets at close of play in day one. Left handed duo Binura Fernando (66) and Kamindu Mendis (51) stroked half-tons for Tamil Union. Match will continue tomorrow for day two.

Sinhalese Sports Club vs Galle Cricket Club
The semi final match between SSC and Galle Cricket Club commenced today at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. After winning the toss, SSC skipper opted to bat first and managed to post 246 runs on the board for their first innings. Wicket keeper batsman Sandun Weerakkody showed his class with the bat scoring a splendid century for SSC.

Off spinner Rajeewa Weerasinghe who picked up 4 wickets in the quarter final match, showed his tricks with the ball once again grabbing 5 wickets for 63 runs. In addition, left arm spinner Gayan Sirisoma picked up 3 scalps for 46 runs for the lads from Galle.
