The final of SLC Major Clubs U23 Tournament 2024 between Moors Sports Club and Ace Capital Cricket Club commenced today (4th October) at Colts Cricket Grounds, Colombo.
Having been asked to bat first, Moors Sports Club posted 233 runs for their first innings. The skipper Janishka Perera was the top scorer as he notched up 92 runs off 136 balls with 6 fours.
Kavindu Amantha and Raveen de Silva shone with the ball for Ace Capital Cricket Club, scalping 3 wickets each.
In reply, Ace Capital Cricket Club made 110 runs for 5 wickets at the close of play on Day 1. Perera who impressed with the bat early in the day, showcased his skills with the ball, picking up 3 wickets for 29 runs.
