The wicket-keeper batter Niroshan Dickwella’s stunning century helped Nondescripts Cricket Club register a massive win over Tamil Union Cricket & Athletic Club in their Group A encounter, played today (11th June) at NCC Grounds, Colombo.
After been put into bat first, NCC posted a mammoth score on the board – 359/8 thanks to Dickwella’s brilliant century. Opening the batting, Dickwella smashed 112 runs off 59 balls with 8 sixes and 8 fours at a strike rate of 189.83.

The opening batter Lahiru Udara also stroked a blazing fifty – 88 runs off 54 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 162.96.

In reply, the Tamil Union batting unit was bowled out for just 131 runs as the off-spinner Ashian Daniel starred with a four-wicket haul for NCC. The left-arm spinner Lasith Embuldeniya and the seamer Chamika Karunaratne also bagged 2 wickets each.
