Ragama CC, Badureliya CC, NCC and Army CC qualified to the Semi-Finals of SLC Major Club Limited Overs Tournament 2020/21 as they defeated Tamil Union, Moors SC, Navy SC and SSC in the respective quarter-final encounters worked off today (7th April) at different venues across the island.
Badureliya CC registered a comprehensive win over Moors SC in their quarter-final encounter worked off today at Moratuwa. The second-highest scorer of the tournament, Sandun Weerakkody shone with the bat again scoring a half-century while off-spinning all-rounder TM Sampath impressed with the ball, taking 4 scalps for Badureliya CC.

The leading run-scorer of the tournament, Janith Liyanage (91) and the leading wicket-taker of the tournament Binura Fernando (3/47) once again did their duty for Ragama CC as they recorded a 6-wicket win over Tamil Union in the second quarter-final encounter worked off today at Katunayake.
The left-hander Kamil Mishara smashed 107 runs off 114 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes as NCC clinched a massive 167-run win over Navy SC in the third quarter-final worked off today at Colts Grounds. The 19-year old Mishara has got a perfect start to his List A career as he has accumulated 278 runs in 6 matches played so far with an average of 69.50 including 2 centuries to his name.

SSC one of the strong contenders to the title were defeated at the hands of Army CC today in the fourth quarter-final worked off at P. Sara Oval Grounds. After posting a modest total of 198 runs on the board, the soldiers managed to display a special bowling performance led by Suminda Lakshan (3/30), Asela Gunarathna (3/46) and Seekkuge Prasanna (2/38) to dismiss the strong batting lineup of SSC to 181 runs.
