The Management Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to conduct the SLC elections as planned amidst Covid-19 concerns.
The election for the office bearers of Sri Lanka Cricket will be conducted on the 20th May as scheduled but it will be done via Zoom.
Currently, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is administered by a 5-member management committee headed by Professor Arjuna de Silva, appointed by Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa last month.
The Attorney General instructed the Sports Minister to appoint a committee for the administration of Sri Lanka Cricket until a new administration is elected at the upcoming election.
The upcoming elections will be held at the auditorium of Ministry of Sports from 10.00 am onwards to elect the personnel for the positions of president, two vice presidents, secretary, treasurer and other offices.
