The Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket issued the following decisions :
Appointment of Coach for the Under 19 National Team
Roger Wijesuriya has been chosen for the post of Under 19 Coach with effect from 01st November 2014 with the mandate of overlooking Under 17 team as well for a period of two years. At present, he is in charge of Under 19 as the Team Coach, it is also noteworthy to mention that Sri Lanka U 19 team was able to beat Australia U 19 team convincingly in the recently concluded ODI series under his mentoring.
Suspect Bowling Action Protocol
The Suspect Bowling Action Protocol has been approved. The protocol has been initialized by the suspect Bowling Action Review Committee and the process has also been formulated in keeping in mind a bowler wishing to seek remedial work and testing at the approved centers of ICC.
Batting Coach Age Group
Former Sri Lanka Test Player and batting technician Roy Dias has been appointed as the Batting Coach of the Age Group Categories and will also assist the other Batting Coaches in the system. His appointment will be in effect from 1st of December 2014 onwards.
Allowance for Identified Outstation Schoolboy Cricketers
An allowance has been allocated for talented outstation schoolboy cricketers identified and brought in to Colombo for specialized training under the High Performance Training Sessions in the age groups of Under 13, 15, 17.
