Sri Lanka women lost the seventh place play-off of the ICC World T-20 to Pakistan by 14 runs at Sylhet yesterday.
Electing to bat first, Pakistan women posted 122 for five in their 20 overs. Bismah Maroof top scored with an unbeaten 62 off 53 deliveries with seven fours.
Sri Lanka’s run chase didn’t go to plan as they slumped to 49 for six and ended up with just 108 runs in their 20 overs. Only Eshani Kaushalya with 37 runs off 29 balls with three fours and a six showed any resistance.
