France coach Philippe Saint-Andre has called up Fijian-born winger Noa Nakaitaci for a 31-man squad preparing for the Six Nations.
Nakaitaci, 24, moved to France from his homeland in 2010 to play for current club Clermont.
He was part of the French squad that toured New Zealand in June 2013, but did not appear in the three Tests.
Toulouse back row Louis Picamoles is also recalled after missing the autumn internationals through illness.
Picamoles played in four of France’s five games in last year’s Six Nations, missing the win over Scotland after he was dropped for applauding the referee sarcastically in their defeat by Wales.
South African-born full-back Scott Spedding, who made his debut against Fiji, and Racing Metro winger Teddy Thomas, who was dropped for the defeat to Argentina in November after missing training, retain their places.
France’s first game of the Six Nations is at home to Scotland on Saturday 7 February.
