Trinity College managed to record an innings victory against St. Anthony’s College in their Group D fixture which was worked off today at Asgiriya. The right handed stroke maker Abishek Anandakumar’s unbeaten century and off spinner Kavishka Senadeera’s match bag of 11 wickets were the key highlights of the match.

The traditional fixture between Richmond College and Gurukula College ended in a draw today at Bulathsinhala with Gurukula College taking first innings points. A knock of 69 runs by Kemira Nayanatharu helped the boys from Kelaniya take major honors in the match.

Thurstan College managed to defeat St. Thomas’ College by 7 wickets in their Group D fixture which concluded today at Uyanwattha Grounds in Matara. The low scoring encounter between the two teams were dominated by the bowlers but the standout performer was Ayesh Harshana from Thurstan College as he took 11 scalps for just 26 runs in the match.

The Group D fixture between Ananda College and St. Anne’s College commenced today at Ananda College Grounds. After being put to bat first, the hosts posted 254 runs with Kanishka Ranthilakage top scoring with a knock of 99 runs. Pasindu Thennakoon was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors as he grabbed 5 wickets for 79 runs. In reply, the lads from Kurunegala were in a spot of bother as they finished day one on 70 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
