S. Thomas’ College managed to record an innings victory over Mahanama College in their Group C fixture which was worked off today at Mount Lavinia. Thomian left arm seamer Kalana Perera demolished the batting lineup of Mahanama picking up a match bag of 10 wickets for 54 runs.

St. Peter’s College managed to take major honours in the drawn traditional encounter against Royal College which concluded today at St. Peter’s College grounds in Colombo. After being 22 for 0 at overnight, Royal College batsmen were bundled out for 125 runs for their first innings. Left arm spinner Kanishka Maduwantha was the pick of the bowlers for the hosts as he picked up 5 wickets for 28 runs in 19.3 overs with 7 maidens.

After being asked to follow on, the visitors showed much better batting display in the second innings posting 177 for 3 at the close of play. Ahan Sachintha top scored with a knock of 58 runs which came off 54 balls including 10 fours.
