The Singer Cup under 13 Division I Inter Schools Cricket Tournament is currently underway with 32 teams already advanced into the 2nd round. The tournament began last month with 75 teams initially participating and broken into 11 groups on a league basis.
Defending champions Prince of Wales Moratuwa is looking to repeat their performance from last year as they have advanced to the 2nd round along with last year’s runner up Mahinda College Galle. Last year’s division II semi-finalist St. Aloysius College, Galle and Ranabima Royal College were promoted to Division I this year.
The 2nd round will be played in a league basis with the 32 teams broken into 8 groups. The winner and runner up of each group will advance to the pre quarter finals.
