Sri Lankan all-rounder, Shehan Jayasuriya, who represented the Island in ODIs and T20Is has made himself unavailable for selection to play domestic or international cricket for Sri Lanka with immediate effect.
A media release from the SLC said the 29-year-old has taken this decision as a result of him moving to the United States of America with his family.

The left-handed top-order batsman played 12 one-dayers and 18 T20 internationals for Sri Lanka and also represented the country’s U19 team. He is an alumni of the Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa and was a prominent figure in the Sri Lankan first-class arena.
It is noteworthy that Jayasuriya got married recently to an American citizen in the USA. With several international cricketers like Corey Anderson making the move to the USA to play Major League Cricket in the country, the doors to international cricket may yet be open for Jayasuriya.
