Recently retired former Sri Lanka Captain Shashikala Siriwardene is set to mentor the Malaysia National Women’s team ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.
According to Women’s Criczone, the Malaysian Women’s team will be in Sri Lanka from the 5th – 17th of November, to prepare for the tournament set to be played from the 22nd -28th November in the UAE. Siriwardene will mentor the side during their stay in Sri Lanka, where they will play practice games against Army SC, Navy SC, Air Force SC and the Sri Lanka Cricket Development Team.
Siriwardene, a stalwart of the game in Sri Lanka, retired from International Cricket in March 2020.
