Lahiru Thirimanne has been named Captain of the Sri Lanka A squad for the third and final unofficial Test match against West Indies A which starts tomorrow in Dambulla.
Kusal Janith Perera who was reported to be carrying a calf injury and did not play the second game has been named as the Vice-Captain of the side.
Dimuth Karunarathne who captained the team in the first two games has not been named in the 15-man squad alongside wicket-keeper batsman Niroshan Dickwella and young fast-bowler Lahiru Kumara. Karunarathne scored 241 runs at 80.3 in the two games including a match-winning century in Colombo while Dickwella made two half-centuries.
Fast-bowling all-rounder Dasun Shanaka, uncapped wicket-keeper batsman Sandun Weerakkody, left-arm spinner, Amila Aponso and fast-bowler Lahiru Gamage have earned their rightful places in the squad for the third four-day encounter.
Sri Lanka A won the first match convincingly by 7 wickets while West Indies A leveled the series in Pallekelle with a 333-run thrashing of the hosts.
