Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who was making a comeback in the longer format of the game in the ongoing three match Test series against Zimbabwe, put his name in an unique list. He became only the third cricketer to score a hundred and take 10 wickets in same Test.
In the second Test in Khulna, Shakib made a crucial 137 and took five for 80 in the first innings. In second innings he failed with bat and made only six runs, but with ball in hand, the left-arm spinner shinned once again. It is because of his five for 44, Bangladesh managed to beat Zimbabwe 162 runs and lead the three match series 2-0. His final match figure was 143 runs and 10 for 124. This was also Shakib’s first 10 wicket haul in Test cricket.
Pakistan legend Imran Khan and England great Ian Botham are the other two cricketers who had achieved this unique record. Interestingly Both Imran and Botham did it against India.
