Sri Lanka have decided to rest senior players Mahela Jayawardene, Lasith Malinga and Rangana Herath for the final ODI against South Africa.
They have also decided to drop opener Upul Tharanga and Jehan Mubarak who have both failed to impress in the series so far.
The 15 man squad announced for the final game consists of a number of new faces, with uncapped players Vimukthi Perera and Chaturanga de Silva earning call ups. Kusal Perera has been recalled to the side along with batsman Dimuth Karunaratne.
Sri Lanka have already claimed the five match series 3 – 1 and were expected to experiment with their youngsters in the final game.
The 5th ODI will be played on the 31st of July at the R Premadasa Stadium.
