St. Anthony’s College Katugastota hosted St. Sebastians College Moratuwa today in another inter school cricket encounter in Kandy.
St. Sebastians who are currently enjoying a fine season this year took first lease of the wicket and managed to score a commanding 255 runs. Skipper and 1 down batsman Anushka Perera led the charge as he scored a fine 57 runs.
The two Fernando’s Anuk and Avishka who have been in the scoring line for the Sebastians chipped in with telling contributions with opener Avishka Fernando scoring 40 runs and middle order batsman Anuk contributing with 50 runs.
For the Antonians it was K. M Udapola who took the highest wickets ending with figures of 3/39.
The Antonians in their first innings were struggling and ended the day with 32 runs on the board for 3 wickets. Viraj Deepal was unbeaten on 18* while right arm medium pace bowler Kusal Edusuriya got 2 wickets for 9 runs.
