School rugby season to kick off this month

The pulsating Sri Lanka schools rugby season will kick off on the  30^th & 31^st of this month beginning with the schools’ sevens tournament.

St. Peters College are the defending champions in the shorter version which they won last year under the captaincy of Kevin Dixon beating Isipathana College 7 – 5 in the finals. March 15^th to 20^th June would be the furiously fought Singer league tournament followed by the Presidents’ Trophy knock-outs. Royal College won the league title last year under Banuka Gamage and Science College created history by winning the Presidents’ Trophy final for the first time under Lasindu Ishan.
